    Hugo Girard began his career as a police officer for the city of Gatineau in 1996. Today, he is a sought-after public speaker and brand ambassador for several companies. A fitness coach and TV host of shows like Les rénos d’Hugo, 321 BBQ, and À vos risques et périls, Hugo is also a former strongman, bodybuilder, and championship organizer for strongman competitions.

    An entrepreneur at heart, Hugo owns several lines of nutritional supplements (Hugo Nutrition) and his own clothing brand, Hugo Strong.

    Originally from Portneuf-sur-Mer on Québec’s North Shore, Hugo started training at just 5 years old. By 12, he had already set his sights on becoming the world’s strongest man. In 2022, he achieved that dream by winning the IFSA SuperSeries World Championship title. He held the title of Canadian Strongman Champion from 1995 to 2004, and was North American Champion from 2001 to 2002. One of his most jaw-dropping feats? Pulling an 80-ton Boeing 737 a full 100 feet in just 43 seconds.

    For over a decade, Hugo competed in strongman competitions around the world, earning numerous titles and respect on the international stage.

    As the founder of Hugo Strong and Hugo Nutrition, and brand ambassador for BMR, Alexi Construction, Groupe Olivier, and Thaïzone, Hugo is the embodiment of strength—both mental and physical.
